A ‘Model Village’ in Ingleton?

A model village is a type of mostly self-contained community, built from the late 18th century onwards by landowners and business magnates to house their workers.
Construction of this Model Village (now known as New Village) got under way in 1914 as was built to house the influx of mining families drawn by the high wages at New Ingleton Colliery.

Nice one. I never knew that was there; I’ve only ever taken that right fork, opposite the garage, into the old village and falls!

Yeah a lot of people who visit Ingleton don’t know we are tucked away as they turn off the A65
