Advice for photogrammetry please

I have a specific project in mind but would like advice on the various options & combinations, please.
I have a Mini 3 Pro with Flymore combo and DJI Rc controller and an iPhone 12.

What I want to do is take sufficient photos or video to produce a 3D printable model of a small farm complex of 4 buildings around a small yard.
The 3D printing part is simple, I just need to get as far as the stl.

I’m thinking along the lines of installing Litchi ( I’ve never used it before) to set a flight path and use Polycam to do the photogrammetry.
Is this sensible or are there better alternatives ( the budget is extremely limited!)?

Any help or thoughts would be useful, thanks

I did something similar a couple of years back, Philip.

Turned out to be a lot easier than I’d feared - and that’s before it was pointed out I could feed it a video

I’ve used Litchi Pilot andPolycam with my Mini 3 with pleasing results. The Magpie Mine model was created from three fairly random videos - a more structured grid approach would have given more reliable detail. Magpie Mine - Download Free 3D Model on Polycam

Thanks for the quick response Guys. It sounds as though I’m on the right track, which is reassuring.
The Magpie Mine looks great and is almost exactly what I’m aiming for in a different context.

Hi :waving_hand: reality capture is free and you can fly the photogrammetry mission manually which would also be free :slightly_smiling_face: although more time consuming

Hi, been using dronelink for about 4 years now. Very easy to use and great back up by their development team. Started with it on a mini 1 then a mini 2 and now the mini 3 pro. Planning a mission is relatively straightforward once you understand the programming options on which option you purchase.

Thanks for that. I must say that I’m very confused about Dronelink. They appear to say that it won’t work with a Mini3Pro and RC controller, plus it appears that you need an android phone not iphone?

Hi, yes you are correct, it will work with the RC Pro but not the standard RC. I use the RC-1N with the Samsung s21. Sorry about the confusion
