Advice on buying a second hand DJI Mini 2

Does any sub 250g drone on a budget of £380 have obstacle avoidance @Metro96 ?

Hubsan Zino Mini Pro has OA, unsure of the second hand prices though

We were all complete novices once, many of us never even imagined such a luxury

Second hand I’m not sure.
Just an observation.

No OA made me more cautious and prractice in an open environment. I’d probaly have had more crashes (not had one yet to speak of apart from cocking up a hand catch once. Them blades are just like a paper cut… bleed like hell) feelin bullet proof.

Sometimes worth having a look at MPB, Drones Direct etc to see what they have refurbed. You have more protection buying form an established busines than from an individual. I just bought a Mavic 3 Fly More still with 6 months warranty from Drone Safe for around £500 under list price.

Wouldn’t touch drones direct with a barge pole, have a search for examples of their ‘customer service’ encountered by our own members

Wow the Dji Min 3 is very nice, but very expensive!

What recommendations are there for FPV drones?

Since the Mini 3 Pro seems too expensive, there is little point in recommending the DJI Avata. But it is the perfect beginner FPV drone. You can pick up the DJI FPV for a lot less, but it is less beginner friendly than the Avata. If you want something below £500, then you only really have analogue to choose from. Have a look at the Ready to Fly (RTF) kits.

@Weston i know you stated a mini 2 does it have to be under the sub 250 ?

Morning Kirky

At the moment I’m looking at everything and anything so it could be over 250g. So something like the DJI FPV. However if it is over 250g then I need to work out the legal requirements to fly it etc, which don’t seem to be straight forward?

Mike

Have a read of that :+1:t2:

I am selling my mini 2 for 350. Never been crashed. Batteries are in perfect working order.

Search for my posts and you can see the capabilities of the camera as all my photos in this forum apart from my lastest ones are all shot on the mini 2.

Thanks Gavin. Pm sent

Still researching the mini 2 and 3. Work keeps getting in the way!!

One more question, sorry.

The mini 2 uses your phone as the screen. I have an iPhone 13, has anybody had an issues, got an tips for using this phone combo. In particular stopping the phone from overriding the screen through calls, notifications etc etc.

Thanks again

M

All phones will interfere. Unless in airplane mode.

Or DND

Is anybody thinking of selling their Mini Pro 3??
