sort of been running on and off… seems Amazon needed some new advertising by bumping the story again plus via various news outlets too
100% autonomous drone flights, BVLOS, approved by CAA within 14 months from now?
Even John Cena thinks the same thing.
Wait, is that John Cena?
Agreed, just watched it on the BBC news (which let’s face it, is mostly full of bullsh*t anyway!) - must have been a slow news day…
Yeah, drone delivery by Amazon. I can just see this on the Scamazon site. “ Drone delivery only available within 1mile of the depot and your order weighs under 100gm ( including packaging)”
more free advertising… a bit like when Ryan air came up with the suggestion they were pursuing standing arrangements on planes and removing seating…
mind you… how big are these drones, as I swear I’ve had a single memory stick in a 1 ft square box before, 1/2 a foot high
it won’t the the weight that restricts them but the packaging size
is it me or does that drone look like it’s taking a dump🤔
… don’t think I’ve ever seen that box size
That looks like it’s just pooped on your lawn @Kirky
No, it’s not just you
I like the way the report was done on a perfectly clear day. No wind no rain not even a cloud in the sky.
Good luck with that in the UK.
I’ve been at work all night and the story was constantly on the news , they said it would be packages under 5 pounds to be dropped from 12 feet lol so that added to the 3 or 4 miles from take off seems to show they have much better representation with the CAA than we do lol .
Ahh, I’ll not be ordering champagne flutes off Amazon Air then
i hope they deliver it better than their couriers sometimes… 5lb dropped from 12 ft (really!)
I thought we were banned from dropping things from drones at any height?
I’m sure they’ll be really safe, with maintenance for the least cost possible.
“No problem, sir, we’ll drop the parcel directly on you within the hour.”
@bannerman100 I have moved your post here as it is already being discussed.
