Can’t upgrade as the system thinks my number is +1 rather than +44 so can’t get a code via email or sms.
@PingSpike could you kindly have a look for me?
I have checked my profile and the mobile is correct.

Ian @DroneGeek the mobile number in your profile is optional, we don’t send it to our payment provider.
That that sounds like a payment provider issue, rather than a GADC issue
If in doubt, please edit your profile at https://dronescene.co.uk/profile and remove your mobile number.
Tried that - still the same issue
I can checkout as a guest, but doubt that will link it to my account.
Just wants me to verify with Stripe.
Stripe will have my mobile number linked to my email as I have a stripe account for Planning Geek, but that is +44 7xxxxxxxxx
I have gone into my Stripe profile for GADC - it didn’t have a mobile or billing address so added them both just in case.
However still not working - I was able to cancel my current subscription
“That phone number is not associated with this account. Double check it and try again.”
Is the error I get after trying to validate my account.
This is what I am seeing
Sorry you’re having trouble, Ian.
If it helps, one member had a mobile phone auth-issue with “Link” and they said:
Looks like you’re using the Link payment method too:
Out of interest, what happens if you click the “send code to email instead” option?
But I’d suggest logging in to Link first / separately and resolving the mobile number issue with them first
No idea who or what Link is (apart from the free ATMs)
I get the same issue. Can’t log in with them as they have the same wrong number - I have US phone numbers, but this is not one of them.
Try the “checkout as guest” option then Ian, if something doesn’t join back to your account here we’ll do it manually (but it should all flow nicely).
Sorry we can’t help with the Link.com web site, it’s not our doing
Can only assume it went to link on my original purchase.
Will do it manually - appreciate the prompt replies.
Actually on manual it also says pay by link. So I must have used that last time rather than Stripe. -yet I could log into Stripe to cancel my subscription
I will enter my card directly - but assume that still goes by Link?
Not to my knowledge, the Link.com thing is optional
All sorted - ah I understand now.
Thanks for the patience.
FAQ - Grey Arrows Drone Club UK says it excludes “Damage to owned, hired, leased, or loaned property”. I suppose all property in the UK is owned, hired, leased, or loaned. So does this insurance not cover any damage to property at all? That does not sound great.
@BananaDolphin we are sorry if that bullet point on the FAQ was not clear to you.
We have updated the wording on the FAQ from:
– Damage to owned, hired, leased, or loaned property
To:
– Damage to property owned, leased, hired or loaned to the insured
ie. you
A post was merged into an existing topic: Article 16 for Grey Arrows Drone Club
Apologies if this has already been asked.
I have an Operator ID and both me and @FoleyMrs are insured members and both hold flyer ID’s. However both of us fly under my operator ID but does the following T&C mean @FoleyMrs is not insured if she does not have her own Operator ID.
Hello Russ @Foley,
The requirement of an Operator ID was to ensure the person insured was 18 or over.
We’ve just made a minor amendment to the limit of cover and it now reads:
