on a dull, grey day, the Mini’s colour seems to melt with the sky

Strobon Crees are a great all rounder, for day and night. But I would also recommend wrapping your drone in a bright colour skin for great visibility in the daytime, regardless of conditions.

Here is the new Mini 2 ‘Tango Edition’ with a pair of red and white Strobon Crees and a VIFLY Beacon. [IMG20220307172401] I used 29mm clear heat shrink to mount the white cree and beacon on front legs.
