Apps and utilities to view drones that broadcast Drone ID and Remote ID data

I would say you need another phone

The app has been updated, might be worth testing again

Plus, it’s on an Apple device, it’ll never work on their locked down hardware stack

:man_facepalming:t2:

?
Would it work on a Mac, say M1 chip or later

Also on Android

Identical on a Mac I’m afraid. It even opens in a phone sized window :man_facepalming:t2:

Which makes me suspect they built that app using something like Xamarin or Ionic, which is how it’s ended up being available for iOS without them even checking the phones hardware supports it

‎The world’s first drone Remote ID scanner made by Dronetag.
They’re not lying, it is indeed the first drone Remote ID Scanner made by Dronetag. If they had put a comma after the word scanner? I’d agree with you. But yeah I get what you mean

On the flip side of smartphone apps to view drone ids that are being publicly broadcast are apps that are being built to disrupt.

You’ll soon be able to run an app on your phone that’ll broadcast spoofed and completely fake Remote ID drone flights and location data.

Have we actually seen one of these working yet :person_shrugging:

Nope!

I believe there’s a FAA requirement that all drones made / sold in USA after x date (mid December 22?) must transmit RID, hence this Autel having it too.

I seem to recall a date of around September ‘23 for something else from the FAA, can’t remember what though, only got one eye on USA regs

The requirement for existing drones maybe?

Great gadget though, pretty sure we could build something like that.

Over 250g or used commercially

The post above is more about the receiver, it’s a lilygo esp32

I emailed them last night but they aren’t shipping internationally yet as the demand is massive in the US

Do you know if it’ll receive/detect on 900mhz, 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz?
