You don’t need an app to view a drones beacons or unencrypted data. Although less aesthetic any rooted device running a basic Linux install is all you need . With this simple setup and a little know how it’s incredibly easy to jam a drone/handset. Turning off DJI ID won’t stop your drone from transmitting to your handset, the only way around it would be to change the frequencies that the drone/handset communicate on which isn’t possible.
So if you annoy somebody who’s a little I.T. savvy they may have some fun at your expense. This is why I always have my drone set to RTH in the event of signal loss.
It’s quite worrying that this software is available. It’s bound to be used for avvin people off with their kit.
‘hey lad, yer got that app there lad?’
