As most of you are aware the DJI Avata 360 is a UK1 class marked drone and as such needs to be transmitting RID in the UK. DJI brought out a fly app update for the 360. I have noticed that my Air 3 S is now transmitting RID even though it doesn’t need to until the end of 2027. Are all DJI drones with the ability to transmit RID now doing so in the UK?
Hm, that’s interesting, I’ve not checked to see if my air 3s is broadcasting rid. However I haven’t as yet linked rid to my op id.
I have already enabled it on my Avata 2, even though not necessary yet. ![]()
It won’t be activated on any of my drones, as I don’t want the local scumbags knowing my location with all my very expensive kit by my side
I didnt activate it on my air 3 s its just transmitting lol
Did you fill out the controller’s RID field with your registration details?
I did. It works a little like 2FA.
Was wondering if @Steviecam had and that’s why the Air3S has started transmitting it early.
This maybe why
Or
Are you using the genuine DJI fly app or a 3rd party one
Genuine app but i did put my rid details in didnt think it would activate it tbh
If you take them out, does the Air 3S stop transmitting?
Once its in its in lol
Factory reset on the controller, maybe? Seems a bit drastic though ![]()
Must be removable to sell it
Yeh with a reset but ive got plenty of n3 controllers kicking about if i dont want rid transmission lol
