Ashton Gate is a multi-use stadium in Ashton Gate, Bristol, England, and is the home of Bristol City football club and the Bristol Bears rugby union team. Located in the south-west of the city, just south of the River Avon, it currently has an all-seated capacity of 27,000
TOAL on Smyth Road next to Gores Marsh.
Avoid the Marsh as it is a Park and Bristol council forbid take off and land from parks within the city.
The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 05/03/2024. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.
Thanks, useful information, note the police have been recently enforcing a large no fly zone around the stadium when concerts/events have been taking place with CUAS and GNSS/Radio jamming equipment warnings, so make sure you check Drone Assist and the details of their NOTAMS. I did speak to their drone unit about potentially flying nearby during a concert, but decided against due to difficulties securing a suitable TOAL location at short notice.
@axelz I tend to keep away during concerts, living about a mile for the stadium it can get a bit busy.
My main visits are via my Bears season ticket, no drone taken then.
You in Bristol, you comments about flying lead to living local?
