I noticed it on the first flight a couple of weeks ago when I visited Scotland. Took it over a loch to get some pictures and started to fly it down the shoreline on the opposite side. I immediately noticed it moving out into the centre of the loch about 30 deg from straight ahead. I thought it might be wind shear but had flown the Mavic 2 the same place and it never deviated. I never flew it for the rest of the trip because I thought there might be an issue with the setup. I didnāt want to waste my time off messing with it, so flew the Mavic for the rest of the trip.
Autel made a new gimbal cover (as the old style one isnāt the easiest thing in the world to fit).
The only place Iāve found with stock so far, as even the authorised dealers in USA arenāt selling them yet:
If youāre buying from that link, make sure you chose the 6K or 8K one accordingly as they are different.
Ordered on 25th September and arrived today so roughly two weeks on the slow boat from China.
@Joe yours may have come supplied with this new one already?
Well packaged:
New style on the left, old style on the right:
And soooo much easier to fit.
The side-clamps are gone now and replaced with snug rests:
Very easy to fit and remove now.
Itās well engineered, makes you wonder why they didnāt do this from day one
Iām loving the raw-ness of Autel. Theyāre like a young startup company that are still optimising their trade. Youād never know theyād been making drones for as many years at they have, bless 'em
And loving it but not the weather, having to time it to get out and fy without getting soaked. Itās been rock-solid in the high winds Iāve had to fly in. Love it.
Hi, I would have loved to but way down on south coast and canāt think of anyone I know with one in that neck of the woods⦠good plan though, get the police on board.
Itās bad enough for us lot doing regular flights away from sensitive areas. Imagine what itās like for them? Theyād be using unlock codes faster than DJI a could generate them
