For all the news of drones scaring birds, here’s one that’s specifically designed to do that all by its self!
I read an interesting article recently about a company that have raised serious money and launched a stand alone product which links to on site security alarms. It is a drone that has its own enclosure / box and if a security breach is detected will take off and fly to the area and start recording. It has extensive obstacle detection etc. They already have some big contracts one with a rail company.

That sounds like an excellent combination of really cool and slightly scary!
Guess its the future.
@Mully I hope it’s not raining when the burglars turn up
That said… I hope the burglars don’t steal the drone and it’s base station
Yes, or very windy. Or foggy. Or snowing. Or drizzling.
But I expect there are IP rated drones. With infra-red cameras.
But if the burglars come equipped with a decent industrial fan to blow it away . . .
Or just throw a net at the drone . . .
Or if the operators get fed up with it responding to prowling cats, pigeons, squirrels, and turn it off to get some peace . . .
Found this Nightingale Security | Robotic Aerial Security
but it is not the origional company I saw.
