It also occurs to me I’ll need to recalibrate all my filaments to compensate for the diamond flow rate…
How much!!! One thing puzzles me though, if the tip is a solid diamond insert, which is the “hardest material” on earth, what do you use to drill the 0.4mm hole through it…
Reworking some of my prints ready for the DiamondBack nozzle, it looks like there’s a need to work with all filament temperatures due to it’s higher thermal efficiency…
ASA printed as it’ll be exposed to UV in the summer…added a 12V cooling fan.
This is ongoing development which will now incorporates SpeedyBee flight controller for easier program test. it will eventually include a small brushless motor to simulate auto launch…
It’s now a case of when to dive in and calibrate all my filament, I used to use my fan assisted electric cooker but the element has came to end of life.
Looks like I’ll need to find the best filament dryer now…anyone on here with tried and tested recommendation?
I have this one, not available at the mo on Amazon, it is good for my TPU as I can load straight from the dryer, there are loads of adaptions to print that help
As soon as they announced it I knew it would be, and anyone that bought it would have realized as soon as they opened the reel.
I bought a 0.5Kg reel of 95 shore about 3 years ago and have got it down to half way, it’s great for wing hinges and RX mounts in fixed wing and Heli builds.
