No using sainsmart TPU and Bambu settings…

I think they have presents for sainssmart other than that try generic and dial it in. Let me check

First question, have you dried it in the oven for a the least 8Hr @ around 55-66C?
if not it’s Russian roulette on the quality.

After Drying store it in a air tight container…like these
Add reusable desiccant, this is what I use, it comes with bags…here

After the above, calibrate your filament, follow the instructions in Bambu Studio.
Flow Dynamic Calibration

Do a manual calibration
Flow rate calibration

I got really good prints with my Qidi i-Mate too following drying the filament so it’s all down to these filaments being as dry as possible before printing.

My TPU sits out on an open reel all the time, never needed to dry it, and it just works, I appreciate mine is the X1C but that shouldn’t make much difference, so long as you are using the external single reel holder and not the A1 Mini AMS

Yeah tbh I’m not great at drying and storing my TPU and OK. Nick’s new to 3d printing so I don’t think that’d be an issue (as it’s so new), but no harm drying it I guess.

Decent profile I guess will help and using the right one. Also try slowing it down a little.

any link to which one you use that doesn’t need drying, could do with a brand like that…

@BigDog here’s a really good video that helps a lot in understanding TPU…

had mine since July 1st last year and it just works, been in the open all the time, I ordered a 500gm and only use it when needed, it’s there on the side to load as and when I need it

Love your setup @yorkie9668 . The AMS more for storage/easy swap, or you actually multi colour a lot? They great for just having your most common in there. You can get up to 4 can’t you, and have 16 on demand

I use the 2 I have for multi colour and like you said just to have many colours available to me, my girls bought me the 2nd AMS for my birthday in June, it’s great having 8 colours at your disposal
Getting a right old collection of different colours now too

But never the one you really want, right?

I have the Sunlu in white as that’s the color they had at the time a year ago, it prints perfect after drying but crap if it’s been out too long.

I suppose it all depends on what you’re printing and the quality finish you’re looking for…I now dry all my rolls even the cheap ones for prototyping…

Cheers guys for the feed back and Martin is right everything is fresh out of the packet. Once iv finished with my TPU I return it to the bag with a hand full of the sachet in and tape shut…

TBF I’m not sure if it is what I’m printing?? The picture below show the stringing and it depends on which way up I print it… if with the point facing down I get it on the side and pointing up I get it in the middle :man_facepalming:t2:

PLA comes out a treat so got to be the material…

Well I assume you not using supports, try turning tree mode auto on, though good luck getting it off afterwards, a good pull with pliers should work!

edit: You will defo get the stringing etc printing like in the first picture without any support!, though the second orientation should be better

I’ll give the support thing a go tomorrow :+1:t3:

It is a right pain to remove with TPU, but use pliers and rip rip rip lol. Unless someone else has better suggestions

I have some of these just for the printer, I dont use them for anything else apart from the odd cable tie as they get bent easilly as theyre cheap. As theyre flush cutters one side cuts right against what youre working on.

Oh I just pull and rip. Tends to work 95 percent of the time. Then neaten the edges with a craft knife.

Although new in it’s packed it doesn’t always mean the manufacture dried it before packaging it.

Drop the .stl file here, will have a go with a tuned filament of Sunlu…
