When I go into DroneScene on my PC all the map data is missing. All the areas to fly in are there but no map just a plain yellow background. Any advice on what might be wrong.

First up, can you try using a smartphone or tablet or another computer please? Does it work on another device?

If so, back to the faulty PC, try using a different browser, does the work?

If so, we know it’s your ā€œmainā€ browser that’s at fault. Try disabling any browser extensions / plugins / add ons.

Someone reported something that wasn’t compatible a while ago, I’ll see if I can find the thread again.

Turns out it was BitDefender that was causing someone issues in the past @Gogs1

Partially solved the problem. Downloaded the web browser Brave and the DroneScene maps working fine. Problem was either to do with Microsoft Edge or Bitdefender (or both). Tried clearing the cache on both but didn’t seem to help. But working well on Brave so I am quite happy.

Thanks for the info regarding Bitdefender, have had the same problem of no map detail but turned off the tracker extension and now all good.

why is the drone scene map not visible on my windows pc??

Can you explain what you are getting or a screen shot Charlie @Indy-Garden as it works fine on my PC.

Without knowing or seeing anything Charlie, at a guess, you’ve got Bitdefender installed? :blush:

I’m not familiar with Bitdefender so maybe someone else can help here, but check to see if there are any notifications around Bitdefender blocking api.mapbox.com (which is the map-tile provider)

If so, can you tell it to trust or accept mapbox somehow?

I’m also guessing it works ok on your phone? :thinking: (so we can rule out a broadband issue)

it works on me phone and I use bit defender on both pc. was that a lucky guess??

Try disabling or turning off Bitdefender to confirm that’s the cause of your issues.

Thankyou … Pausing Bitdefender made no diference… but preventing start up on boot … and rebooting Drone scene be working fine… :grinning:

have turned Bitdefender back on… now i know were the problem is… even if i cant fix it.

What I think you might see when you get to https://api.mapbox.com is a warning from Bitdefender? :thinking:

If so, tell it to accept / safe / whitelist / something for api.mapbox.com

Sorry I don’t have a Windows PC or Bitdefender so I can’t help much more than this :confused:
