Some great scenery! I may get there one day.
For me - the rather abrupt pans detract from the film. OK - this might have been taken some time ago and it’s something you’ve addressed, otherwise it might be useful to take a look at : Smoother Settings: Yaw Endpoint, EXP, Gimbal Pitch & buffers
Agree whip lash isn’t good, and its a very windy place between the wind and the oyster catchers lets say i was kept busy 360* lol
You will all be glad to know I won’t be colour edit my videos anymore as I am crap at it lol
Which software do you use?
Power director 365
I didn’t find that an easy one to do colour correction. Discovered that after I’d paid for it.
Moved to DaVinci Resolve and never looked back.
I do realise, though, that which video editing software is as subjective as which colour grading looks right.
I will keep it in mind once this one runs out.
Thanks for the advice
It’s a good but a bit repetitive video. For me a great video will tell a story and filming the same buildings from a similar position is just boring. You could have maybe filmed the buildings from further inland and shown more of the extent of the bay. Loved the shots of the reef. For me it would have been nice to have vertical down clip over the bay as it looked very clear water, did it have more reefs in it? I also liked the views of the extent of some of the bay, particularly the mountains in the background which were a dark blue compared to the green in the far mid ground.
Please don’t give up on colour correction. If you wish download Da Vinci Resolve free and watch Darren Mostyn on YouTube…simple and no nonsense tutoring.
Even if you use Power Director practice, practice and practice, because a well presented and interesting video will attract more viewers and subscribers on your YT channel.
These where old videos from last year, and due to lockdown I had nothing better to do so put them together and try new things.one thing you may not have noticed is the wind , if you ever go to uist it’s always windy. I will be going to harris and lewis which is even worse.
do you have a link to any of your videos
I’m on Lewis and getting a bit stir crazy through lockdown. I live near one of the best places to see whales and dolphins from land, we could even see humpbacks from the house a couple of days ago, so am looking forward to when I can legally fly again.
But you can legally fly in scotland there has never been a ban on flying drones in scotland
I spent 18 months on Unst in Shetland for being naughty. The 3 things I really remember are the wind, the northern lights and the extortionate petrol price.
