I’ll have a go at that, mine’s still fresh in the mind (passed last Friday), and I’ve been practicing every day since.

Are you ok with dairy?

I’m technically pescatarian,.so yes to dairy and fish too.

Hi all.

It looks like there is a good few fellows turning up.

There are also a few more people who have expensive model helicopters to show off that sound real loud, smell great (kerosine) and are a pleasure to watch (fire extinguishers at the ready). Some have expressed an interest in trying drones and / or fpv. (It has been advertised on the clubs fb page).

Sorry about the polls, but I want to know how many are camping. I am. With lots of beers.
Vote closes next Friday night.

Will you camp. Yes, in a tent.
  • I will camp Friday and Saturday
  • I will camp Saturday
  • I look at camping in disgust
  • No camping for me

Here’s a prototype of a drop mechanism for a bouncing ball dam busters competition (with skittles). @Steviegeek has a more professional one though. This will be a back up.

One pilot to fly it, and one competitor to drop the bomb via remote control

Any FPV poilts coming, it might be worth us sorting out our bands and channels ahead of time saves messing around :+1:t2:

Myself @Steviegeek and @notveryprettyboy all fly on race band.

I normally fly R3

Steve normally flys R8

And Karl normally flys R1

But we can be flexible.

Also can we ask that you don’t power up your quad while someone else is flying unless you know for sure that your VTX has a pitmode and its enabled. And also announce to who ever is flying that you are about to power up just to prevent any crashing caused by video interference.

Also the DJI Digital FPV system doesn’t play nice with anologe so we’ll need to try and keep them separate I’m pretty sure that @Howard78 knows this first hand lol

I normally fly r3 but can switch to R4.

Some great points above and I’m learning all the time.

Dji Fpv is fine if on 2.4 rather than 5.8. I believe as standard it switches between the two (discovered the hard way)

Both mate, @notveryprettyboy will be giving FPV lessons (he’s very good at it :slightly_smiling_face: ) and there are spare goggles spectators can use. :+1:

Also if you’ve got 2 DJIFPV users you can broadcast to the 2nd pair of goggles (I’m sure you can do this with other FPV kit too)
