Bingley Five Rise Locks - Added to Rivers and Canals in Yorkshire and the Humber

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

Bingley Five Rise Locks is a is a staircase lock and is one of the most awesome features on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
As the name implies, a boat passing through the lock is lifted or lowered in five stages.

They are the steepest staircase locks on the longest canal in the country.
The lock flight features the five locks and stunning views of the Aire Valley. At the top of the flight there is a cafe and a private mooring site for boats. Lock keepers are on duty during the summer months to help boats through the locks and monitor water levels.

Parking is free and situated just outside on the local highway.

TOAL at the bottom of the locks or on the roadside by the allotments where you drive in, beware of the overhanging tree branches.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 24/11/2022. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

More amazing industrial sites to visit !

I want to fly here @Kings, but there are no parking or take off and landing markers. Would you be able to add some to the map please?

@Steveo1976 i have added a parking marker, you will have to access where to take off when your there but I was at the bottom of the locks when I took that picture but I had permission from a river trust employee to fly from there.
