Aye the weather hasn’t been very drone friendly up here. I’m up in elgin for work, and as always, I have the drone and camera kit with me. Today is yet another camera day
Driving home tomorrow afternoon and the wind looks like it might finally start to ease a little, so I might be able to squeaze a few flights in.

F F F F F Fffffreezing, a couple of days ago.

Tonight, almost midnight, 11°C.

Beautiful sunny day down here in Portsmouth today (and was even better yesterday). Time to check for updates and charge the batteries…I feel a flight coming on :crossed_fingers:

I was there on Tuesday. A tad winding but flew non the less.

Something fun i started to do whilst waiting for drizzle to go away.

It’s surprising how much fun is it to grab a set of numpty level lock picks and a few £10 clone yale locks.

I’ve not had any sort of ‘going equiped’ conversations yet so that funit to come

I taught myself on nightshift many years ago, amazing what you can learn from youtube ;o)

Hehe, yup

After about 2 hours of fiddling i immediately drove to Aylesbury and spent silly amounts on a decent padlock for my storage unit.

Turns out their supplied padlocks open with basically a bent coathanger

Once had a Ford Escort that could be opened with a 2p coin, and started with a 5p coin. The gear stick was a large-bladed screwdriver jammed diagonally into the bayonet fitting. Fun. I later had a Lada (inherited from my dad) which could be safely left with the windows open, doors unlocked, and keys in the ignition, so long as there wasn’t much petrol in the tank…

Did filling it up double the value ?

Pretty much, and made it worth nicking! In some ways it was a great little car; handled like a pig and accellerated at the rate of contintal drift, which was just as well because it braked at the same rate. It showed it’s Russian pedigree by having the best, andlloudest, heater of any car I ever owned.

But I grew to like the idea that you could leave it unlocked and the windows open in summer and know that it would still be there waiting for you when you came back to it. It was the !600E version with cloth seats, which were reasonably comfortable, and, despite the turgid performance, it was surprising how many people got in my way…

Heard 'em all mate, you won’t be able to tell me a new one!

It was the orange colour as shown in Kirky’s cartoon as well, but with square headlights and had a horrible mid-brown vynil roof; looked as if somebody’d had the runs in a baked bean factory; it was never going to win any beauty contests but then, I was never in a position to take the moral high ground on that point… I called it ‘Stalin’s Revenge’.

I would never have bought such an abomination; my dad left it to me in his will. He never really liked me much!

Believe it or not I did for £50 off the neighbour 4 doors up & it was the bake bean / mustard colour ‘ no joke ‘ in the late 80’s ish :+1:

Ah, the foolishness of youth, Kirky…

Wind bothers me less these days, my current issue is an unbelievable amount of harsh light. Seems to be coming from a mysterious yellow circle that Ive not seen before. Can guarantee it wont be nicely difused behind a cloud when something interesting is going on.

Yeah! The mysterious golden orb is still very low in the sky when it makes it’s odd appearance, and plays havoc with the settings.

He was already old then!
