Bloody weather! ... and flyability

Wtf… it was +10C when I went out with the dog (and still raining)

Multi model comparison …

I’m with you on this one for sure

If they gave a 2023 summary forecast, and it included rain, winds, clouds, tornadoes, hurricanes, snow, and warm sunny days … I still wouldn’t believe the “warm sunny days”.

Lots of flood warnings around the country …

Scotland - less so …

On the plus side … flooded terrain is a great drone subject. :+1:

Real feel of 10 on Saturday! As opposed to 26 today!

I reckon the locals will be wearing their thermals!

Although one issue will be the iguanas might fall out of the trees again. Happened over Christmas.

In all seriousness I feel for those affected by the rain back home.

Updates …

I’ve been using this for the past week and can now say that I definitely agree with you.

So much so, I resurrected my old 7" Raspberry Pi Touch Screen and have Weather Radar displayed with animations on :+1: It only uses about 4 watts (Pi and screen), so I’ll just leave it on.

There have been a few tech issues at the Met Office (data source) in the last few weeks, but one can’t really hold that against Netweather.

Glad you like and appreciate the granularity and up-to-date-ness.

One extra level of zoom would be good.

Already done. I was thinking that further out would have been better. But it the detail wasn’t there.

A tad breezy here last night !

Nothing that can’t be fixed with viagra

The “next 3 days” forecast increased a bit, compared to the ones I posted yesterday … particularly for the SE.

Next 3 days

3 to 6 days

Managed to get a 20 minutes flight in down by the Solent this morning. A very brief lull in the wind… Fingers crossed I can grab another window tomorrow.

It was certainly very windy yesterday - took a short video of the farm gates on our walk close to the Ridgeway.

The gate is trembling with fear :joy:

You may get a bit, but it looks like I will escape it.

Temps are nose diving at mo (which explains the moaning in the house!).
