Caa article 16 drone weight

Hi I have a mini 4 pro as most people know sub 250g, i do not have the CofC (A2). But i am have a question regarding article 16. What i would like to do is put 360 degree camera on to the drone, so this would take the drone over the 250g which i would not be able to fly since i do not have the CofC, How ever if i used article 16 would this then be possible for me to fly with out having the CofC ?? Just a side not does being a member of greyarrows have article 16 included if you are a paid member? Thanks in advance,

Why not?

In a field, yes.

Not yet

We’re currently considering this route and may have more news to announce in the new year.

On a Mini 4  what does the camera weigh?

Hi thanks for your reply, i seen this amazing youtube video of edinburgh castle, and you can move the the angle of what you are seeing as the drone flys, and i thought i would like to try. The reason i said i could not fly my drone, i thought since i never had CofC i could only fly a drone less than 250g. Here is a link for the youtube video that has got me thinking

I’ll refer you back to Good 2 Go again:

Thanks the weight of the insta 360 is 26.5g then add a mount so looking at total including drone max 270g

What did Good 2 Go say?

Says “GOOD NEWS” thanks again,

thank you

Which Insta 360 is that? My x3 and One Rs both weigh around 200g which I reckon is pushing it on a Mini drone.

insta 360 one x2 (149g) The insta 360 i thought was 26.5g which it is but does not do 360

Good luck :open_mouth:

i have seen videos of the mini 2 lifting over 200g, granted battery never lasted,

I feel sorry for the motors and ESC

Never mind the top heavy displacement affecting the imu caused by a camera strapped to the top

Good luck

This is the drone used in the video

I’ve used a onex2 with an original MP a M2P and the DJIFPV with ease

Not sure the Mini range is upto it , chase YouTube there’ll be something on there
