Looking to get some nice city light shots, preferably highrise. Obviously London is pretty much out, I see Manchester looks good, any other recommendations?
I’m down in Salisbury and can’t think of any cities anywhere near down South that have this kind of thing.
Happy to travel though!
Salisbury itself could be good … Christmas lights, Christmas market, etc.

For sure. and do a lot of Salisbury, but really fancy some tall night lit buildings!
Shin up the cathedral spire and drape some fairy lights? … use the drone to put the fairy lights up there? LOL!
Salisbury is FAR more photogenic than Eastleigh (yeah … where? It’s sobriquet of “Beastleigh” is very apt.) that’s also buried under a FRZ.
Use the search, loads of stuff from Manchester City Centre

I've flown a drone here from two different places: once from the steps of the Quaker building, and once while standing within St Peter's Square.
I strongly recommend flying when it's relatively quiet, to avoid being interrupted.

You’ll see from the Drone Scene map that there is also a large area of the south bank between Waterloo Bridge and Blackfriars Bridge that can be flown from.
There are also good views of Canary Wharf if you take off from the riverside path here:

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 15/10/2022. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.
