Cookham, River Thames - Added to Rivers and Canals in South East

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

This was taken at side of River Thames on the Common so no permission required

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 22/11/2020. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Beware the majority of this land belongs to the National Trust so to take off from their land is not permitted…

Yeah Thanks, I made sure I took off from the non-National Trust land. I didn’t want any aggravation from any Jobsworths.
Cheers

I want to fly here, but there are no parking or take off and landing markers. Can anyone that has flown here or knows the area add some markers to the map please?

I live reasonably local to here @BillUp and from what I can see from the take-off point in the video, the OP was standing on the Thames path alongside the river. There’s parking available either in Cookham or Bourne End, but you will be having a little troddle to get to the TOAL point for sure. There’s an iron railway bridge which crosses the river just to the west of where the video starts from. I’m sure if you have a look on Google Maps you’ll be able to reference the point quite easily. Search for Bourne End and then just follow your nose along the river. You can cross over on the railway bridge as it has a pedestrian walkway alongside it.
