While in Gainsborough for the beer festival I thought I would have a look at this 126 year old water tower with my drone. It just happened to be a morning with cloud inversion and you can see the mist wandering in and illuminated in a golden glow in my video.
Cox Hill Water Tower, Gainsborough was Built in 1897, the tower is a grade-II listed building and is surrounded by a former reservoir which was constructed in 1864 designed by engineer Henry Riley
What did shock me was how much fly tipping had gone on at the base of the tower, what a right mess. Not sure who owns this building but that needs sorting.
