I was flying my dji lito x1 80m high, got strong wind warning brought it down some warning went away, then warning came back when i went to bring it back down the controller was non responsive and i couldnt do anything for some reason, then the drone got took by wind and landed in next road smashed on floor, all arms still attached and camera and everything other than a broken end, does this need reporting if no one was injured or anything wasnt damaged thanks
IMHO I don’t think so, no one else was involved or property damaged, just a case of care n refresh.
Just worried because it says any accident or incident should be reported within 10 days but i dont want to be in trouble for something that didnt do any damage as far as i could see as the whole drone is still together
See - The never ending "I crashed my drone thread" 🔥, it happens. If an incident doesn’t involve anyone else or property, so be it. If every little incident was reported the CAA would be bogged down, and we all would be spending more time in paperwork than flying. The CAA are more interested in safety issues.
Not unless you want to report it to the Highways Agency! ![]()

Why would these get involved it didnt damage the road or anything.
I think that joke has gone flying straight over your head. Pardon the pun. ![]()
Might be some little grey scratches on the tarmac.![]()
Sorry i get the joke just went over my head as just first drone crash and where it was blown over some houses and still only hit the ground couldnt see any damage anywhere it surprises me
Also do you know when the drone makes a collision is that where you get the 10 secs of video from at the end after the crash as i wasnt recording but when you go to find my drone it has a short video at the end ?? Thanks
It’s a miracle that he found a bit of tarmac without a pothole ![]()
@JamesG90, it would be really useful if you could share the Airdata logs for this issue, it’ll help people provide you with a more detailed answer based on what actually happened.
If you’re not familiar with Airdata it’s an independent platform that allows you to aggregate your flight records and it also allows you to share logs with other people.
Here’s a guide on how to upload your flight logs to their web site / app:
Setting up Direct DJI Sync
Once your logs are visible in Airdata you can use this guide to share the log(s) in question:
Once you’ve created the share on the Airdata web site simply reply here and paste the URL, someone will then take a closer look for you.
My understand something like a near-miss incidents to be reported. Like everyone said if it involves other parties.
Side note, are you able to get a replacement/repair by dji?
Hi @aymanbaba, it looks as though you’re quite new here ![]()
Why not nip over to the Introductions category to say hello and tell us a bit about yourself ![]()
That’s the snippet of video that you share on the “the never ending I crashed my drone” thread. ![]()
Technically, you should do, yes (regardless of whether anybody else was involved or anything was damaged).
It’s not about attributing blame (unless you’ve done something outrageously egregious, they really won’t care), it’s about learning lessons. You’ve said the controller became non-responsive. If they get a spate of reports all saying the same thing that might indicate a problem with hardware or a recent firmware update.
Ultimately, it’s up to you. Nobody is coming after you either way. ![]()
