Creality V4.2.7 Silent Motherboard Mainboard Ender 3 Pro 3D

I have just ordered the new silent 32mb board for my Ender 3 pro to swap out for the old 8 bit …

Has anyone done this , I have watched a youtube video on how to swap… Just wandering if anyone else has swapped them over …

My ender3 pro came with the 32bit main board. Have you checked your current board before ordering?

Yes , it was the old 8mb 1.15 board … 2 ways to check , the micro usb connection I had the old type and check the motherboard … Yours come with either the new 4.27 or 4.22 32mb board then …Lucky bugger lol

It is cheaper for me to buy the latest board because all addons are more expensive on the old board and I would need an additional motherboard to even update firmware … So a new board will work out cheaper in the long run …Win Win…

Yeah the old boards required a burner tool to flash the firmware lol not ideal the 32bit board is definitely a solid upgrade.

Mine came with the 4.2.2 board.

Some other solid upgrades that I’d highly recommend pretty cheap to do as well.

A dual gear all metal extruder

A BLTouch bed levelling probe

And some silicone solid bed mounts.

And a spring steel PEI magnetic build plate as a bonus upgrade :+1:t2:

The one I’ve linked isn’t the dual gear… odd as I copied it from my recent orders on amazon and mine is definitely the dual gear. Give me a sec I’ll find the dual gear version.

Just make sure you calibrate your Esteps once you’ve fitted it. :+1:t2:

Cool thanks for that , I will purchase one later… Ideal …brilliant…

They give a more consistent flow :+1:t2:

I’d also recommend checking out the nightly builds of marlin you’ve gotta make a donation to download them but if you’re getting a BLTouch then they have some awesome features that the normal versions of firmware don’t have like a Z Probe offset wizzard and a bed tramming wizzard as well as automatic filament change. (You click change filament and it heats up the hot end purges a small amount then reverses the extruder till the filament is completely out and asks you to load the new filament and it then feeds it in so you haven’t gotta push it all the way along the bowden tube :+1:t2:)

Lol sorry man I’ll slow it down lol yeah you will need to re flash the firmware for your new board but I don’t recommend using the creality firmware as I’m pretty sure that it hasn’t got thermal runnaway protection.

So look up marlin nightly builds, this is the firmware that the creality firmware is based on but has way more feachers and includes the thermal runaway protection. :+1:t2:

Yes the youtube video im watching has a step by step with marlin software…

Like I said you’ve gotta make a donation to actually download the firmware but having the wizzards and filament change options is worth it in my opinion :ok_hand:t2:
