I bought DaVici Resolve more than 4 years ago. I keep it patched and ready to go at a moment’s notice… but haven’t quite managed to pluck up the courage to make the move from FCPx
If your a final cut user and obviously mac, and happy using then i guess theres no need to change. Just out if interest Joe why did you buy it then?
Oh, I did all the research, decided it was a far better editor, downloaded some training and did that, then paid for the license… then I absolutely bottled it and it just sits there pinned to my dock, taunting me
I ended up buying the studio version as it lets me render out full resolution of the air 2s which is 5.4k couldnt do that eih the standered version. Also there was a problem with exporting anything as a jpeg sequence. Soon as i started using the studio version ive not had any issues
Just switched from Adobe Creative Cloud to DaVinci Resolve Studio in the New Year. Just getting to grips with it and watching any tutorial on You Tube I can find. Adobe have just increased their subscription fee to something like £56 per month, for all their apps; I know but still got fed up of paying monthly, especially as it’s just a hobby. Have to say DaVinci hasn’t disappointed me at all, even got an update the other day too. Cheers Steve
