DJI just swapped the cover, so the Premium Care refresh has just been processed, so it is possible that it may arrive by Thursday, if not then I will look at options and either pop down to Sandbach, or call in to Perth on the way upā¦

Lol, yeah, data says it crashed!
TBH the front left arm was folded in wheen I retrived it, looks like it hit upside down as the housing for the forward sensors has a dint, as does the fron of the gimbalā¦ 2 of the panel seams had come unclipped - both sorted now - and the gimball is stuckā¦ 6 of the props are damaged, tbh I am amazed that it is not much much worseā¦ Sending the battery away too, as although its charging and looks ok I would rather be safe than sorryā¦
Sorry for the sad end to what looked like a really good video. I enjoyed the crash video - hope you donāt mind me saying that

ps, I do need to make you aware that I donāt have care refresh. Just wanted to make you aware in case you drove all the way up here and decided not to chance it when you could take up another offer.
Thanks Adrian, the care refresh is now sorted, so all in the hands of DJI now, with any luck it may arrive by Thursdayā¦ If not then I have a couple of options, although nervous of flying someone elseās drone tbhā¦

Iāve flown quite a few other peoples quads/planes, and way I see itā¦ If I canāt afford to replace/fix it, then I wouldnāt. Has a nice bonus from work, so got a chance to fly an x classā¦ So did, fortunately nothing bad happened! As stated I have care refresh, if worst came to worst if you happy to cover that XS, then all good, and TBH, what is the XS?! Not a lot on the Mini 2? Then again I rarely fly it anyway, last time was over a camp fire at the big meet for 3 minutes, and only time I flew it there

Sorry to hear of your crash Suzanne, Ive been there also and know the feeling. Sounds like youre well on the way to getting sorted and back up in the air. I look forward to seeing your future videos from your travels.

DJI have despatched the replacement drone, and UPS tell me it will be here tomorrow at 1200, assuming they are true to their word that is an amazing result and means I am very, very relieved and thankful, feels like my fairy godmother has waved her wand and saifd āYou shall go to the ball!ā - or rather You shall take your drone to Orkney! Now all I need is some good weather 
I will keep you all updated, and many thanks to all for the support and the offers of loan drones, it is very much appreciatedā¦

Thatās great news!!! UPS are usually spot on, both times I have had to use care refresh they have been on time. Weather doesnāt look too bad, although I would pack some waterproof clothing!!! The showers we are getting between the sunshine have been absolutely mental!!! Wind speeds on the long range forecast donāt look too bad but the weather up that way can change very quickly and dramaticaly. How long are you visiting?

Been to Orkney twice before, but first time with a droneā¦ We are Scotland bound early on Friday morning, hoping to have a couple of flights enroute, along the A9 - possibly Stirling Castle early in the morning, the Bridge in Inverness, Dalmore Distillery and the Cromarty Firth Oil rigs, and hopefully Carbisdale Castle, then off to Tongue for a night staying with friends and a day exploring Sutherland before the ferry to Orkney on Saturday evening - and then a week on Orkney
Just hope UPS dont hit any snags

Oh what terrible news, but well resolved in the end it seems.
I was looking forward to your Orkney shots, especially as I was there a few weeks ago. I still have a few sorties to process and have been short of time to edit them because of trips to Holland (some more flights) and to Spain/Portugal (no flights).
When I get back Iāll see what I can post from Orkney ā¦
As I say, Iām looking forward to yours - I couldnāt fly at Hoy because of the weather. The Old Man would be a good subject, but I think not the place to lose it if something goes wrong!
