I’ve noticed with line of sight on longer distances the signal is rock solid my favourite flight is skirting low over Portland Harbour Breakwaters it’s just shy of four miles across from TOAL spot & signal drop is negligible :smiley:

Thanks Kirky for the input👍. Like you if I never had a drone I’d more than likely go for it.

I have issues though…

  1. I own an Air2s with 5 batts, which is solid and has great vid and great stills capability.

  2. I own a RC pro that controls the Air2s and my mini 3(when I actually use it). With the Air 3 being O4 and the controller being O3, is it ever going be compatible? Don’t really want to get shut of the RC pro

  3. Will Dji bring out an Air 3S with bigger sensor/camera capabilities before I’ve had my fill of the 3S,:person_shrugging:

This was my thinking now I know what I know, as said from what I’ve seen I cannot fault it, 04 if that’s the new thing, maybe fcc patch no longer needed maybe :thinking:
The rest I guess for yr self & others who are maybe thinking of upgrading, is it a case of a bit more of that & a tiny bit less of that, catch 22 I guess or just dji’s way of doing things,
However good luck in the nicest possible way in yr decision swings & roundabouts :+1:t2:

Yes maybe then it is a little less powerful, but apart from the odd pano and odd photo I don’t use mine for photo’s much

The Mavic 3 Pro will easily do 10km out - so have to agree on not a lot of difference.

Signal still struggles with vegetation & leafy trees their a signal sponge & not at distance either :man_shrugging: But at distance with clear line of sight it’s outstanding far superior to the Mavic 3 with RC Pro (unmodified)

Just got the Air 3 and the difference between my Mini 3 Pro with the RC controller (O3) and the Air 3 + RC 2 (O4) having flown the same routes is stunning. Not talking distance here but a tree covered hillside where I’m close to the trees at the bottom and definitely out of line of sight. It might be the combination but O4 is miles better.
