So here’s an obscure one… does know how the DJI audience mode actually works?
I’ve V2 goggles x2 and I’m wondering if the 1st set communicates with the drone and emits a signal to the 2nd set. Or whether they both talk to the drone.
Anybody know?
I believe that the Drone transmits to both goggles at the same time but gives the primary Goggles preferential signal quality. It’s why you need to lower the bandwidth to 25MHz as its sending out two streams.
The primary Goggles gets better quality as there is error checking enabled so dropped packets is retransmitted.
I’m not 100% sure on this but i remember a video by MadTech where he recorded in both googles and the quality was worse in the 2nd goggles. If it was retramsitted by the goggles there wouldn’t be a difference in quality.

I’d also note that the quality, range and penetration will suffer in audience (at least on the older kit), not 100% on O3, but yeah signal will suffer all round. So don’t unless flying close
