DJI Avata 2, Goggles 3 - Rumours, leaks, gossip and general discussion

Oh did you know that the DJI air 2 light clip that goes onto the battery also fits the avata 2 perfect between the prop guards! I’ve used it a few times with absolutely no issues at all. Just bent the sides in for a tighter fit.

Interesting that @ianinlondon said he did his through assistant2 on his video ?

Yeah but he had a pre-release version, so maybe something changed

@ianinlondon can you confirm?

I’m confirming what @Mads-Tech ian has said

Had to update fly app to latest to get a firmware upgrade, not tried the FPV2 RC as it has a few ‘tweaks’ on it that I need for the DJIFPV so that will have to wait.

The wireless steaming to the phone is cool, however although I now got 4K/100fps you can only use it in normal and wide view not superwide

Just tried with the DJI assistant and it doesn’t show an update

The only version of Assistant I’m willing to let near any computer of mine is the ‘tweaked’ version for mods to the original MP

Yes, I did update via DJI assist but was on the pre release list. That said, I had to go to the Avata 2 page on DJI.com and download its latest version of DJI assist, hence the point I made about having the latest version in the vid. Every time there’s a new aircraft out, you’ll need the latest version of DJI assist or it may not recognise the Avata 2 when you connect it…
I’ve read a fair few comments on people being able to update and others not being able to. But updating the Fly App and updating via that seems to work every time…

Genuinely unsure how that’s even working for you :joy::joy:

What version did you use?

DroneHacks app for everything upgrading, downgrading and tweaking , updates via the fly app when absolutely necessary (iOS)

If you’re a Mac user (like me) install lil snitch or radio silence and see exactly what it’s doing with your network connection.

That’s the right gear to wear if you have a habit of flying your drone into your face?

Ouch, that hurt more than collision with my face :face_with_spiral_eyes:

How many minutes are you guys getting in manual mode?

My last few flights have been about 5-6 minutes down to 10%.

Expected a little longer than that.
