You could try just pushing the wires through but that’s not the best
Not only are you using the wrong pins you haven’t soldered all of the correct ones

I made a video. Maybe is more clear. https://youtube.com/shorts/Bcw8VMStsfg?feature=share
The GND on the back is not related to the GND in the front of the board? Now I got a little confuse, sorry =(
The markings on the front face are relevant to the first row of connections

the markings on the back are relevant to the second row of connections

Thanks.
What i got confuse is when I showed the image with the back part you made 3 arrows:
but i really though it should be:
did you had the chance do check the small video I upload on youtube in the previous comments? https://youtube.com/shorts/Bcw8VMStsfg?feature=share
Good evening. I own a DJI Mavic Air (1) and after not using the batteries for a year they don’t even charge. I have bought the CP2112 and connected it to the batteries. My problem is that though I connect de cp2112 via micro-usb to my laptop when I use DJI Battery Killer compilation 13.6.21 it answers a message “ERROR: Could not open device”.
If I use a recent compilation I doesn’t nothing happens. I can’t select anything.

Has anybody had the same problem and solved it? As I don’t get the conection with de cp2112 I can’t read the info of the 3 batteries… It is a bit frustrating…
What have you got in this box when you click the down arrow?
It should be something like this
If nothing try another USB cable
Try to use the usb cable that comes with the drone. I was also getting similar problem before.
Does anybody know where I can download the software DJI battery killer in Workink order? Thanks
We have copies in our members area
Hi,
I’m new to the game of reparing batteries. Recently I discovered that one of my three Mavic 2 Pro batteries no longer shows any light when being pressed (the other 2 work perfectly fine). Haven’t used my drone in a while, so I fear it might be discharged or even dead. I tried activating it by pressing the button (just like when starting the drone), but nothing happened. Also tried to charge it using the original dji charger for half a day with no avail.
After reading a lot and watching some videos I ordered a CP2112 board and hooked up the dead battery to my PC using the “DJi_Battery_Killer_ver.0.5beta2_01.02.2022_with_dlls” tool. While my setup seems to work fine (as I can read the data from my working batteries), I always get the following message when connecting my dead battery after clicking “Read info”:
ERROR: Could not perform SMBus read 0x00
My assumption: The battery which shows no sign of life is either dead or completely discharged. As I’m a newbie to this area, do you have any advice what I can try?
Any help is appreciated ![]()
can you please share link to download it
thanks
@Biobio as mentioned above:
Hello,
in CP2112 Settings I got something like 00EC19ED (not always, I have to plug in and out the USB cable 2-3 times in my CP2112 board). But when I click on “Connect” nothing happens. I’m using WIN 11, what could it be ?
Sorry, it was my bad. The pins are not properly soldered on the CP2112; I soldered them again and now I can connect to CP2112; now the problem is that when I connect my Mavic Air 1 battery, i got :“ERROR: Could not perform SMBus read 0x00”, I’ve already open the battery and checked that every cell is 3.8/3.9V.
Post a picture of the board connected to the battery
Thanks for your reply !
You can see in the 2 photos attached the 3 wires: black in GND, white in SDA, grey in SCL on the board (other than the pins being soldered upside down, but that shouldn’t be a problem, I was just more comfortable, or could it be a problem?), then in the other photo the same 3 wires are connected to PIN 1, 5, 6 of the Mavic battery.
It looks ok, try a another USB cable
In some YT videos, I’ve seen that you can also try to connect power supply to a “+” and “gnd” pins on the battery with 12V (i think for Mavic). It should be something useful ?
