DJI Fly - App updates and download links

Looks like a stealth Fly update.

Site still showing 1.11.4 but the link actually downloads 1.12.0.

This apparently fixes it to work with now released Android 14 but i havent personally verified yet.

Read above

The Android 14 isnt mentioned in those notes but it does apparently fix it.

New DJI fly app
V1.12.2

Geezer, you chopped off the all-important release notes at the bottom

Sorry, rectified :white_check_mark:

What’s Fixed, “certain issues” well that clears that up :frowning:

That my friend is the standard DJI BS they slap on the bottom every update

@Kirky probably did the right thing in the first place by cutting it off

Sorry Kirky mate, I was hoping there’d be more release notes than that

I recently updated my Pixel 7 Pro to Android 14, already having Fly 1.12 installed. It worked fine, but when I tried to find the flight logs in the usual path - Android\data\dji.go.v5\files\FlightRecord it didn’t exist via Solid Explorer or the native Files app, or connected to a PC. Just updated to 1.12.2, and the folder is visible in Solid Explorer, but won’t allow access. Still invisible via Files and on PC. I guess it’s a problem of increased security on Android 14. I read there was another Android file browser that might work, but can’t remember where I saw it.

Nope, same old tosh, I think is why my screenshot ignored it

Sadly I didn’t think to check here before allowing my Pixel Pro to be upgraded to Android 14 - on holibobs this week (half term again) and went for a quick fly tonight in a beautiful setting only for the app to crash and burn!

And as I understand, Litchi doesn’t work with the M3P so I’m stuffed unless someone has an answer for me?

EDIT: I’m now running 1.12.2 of DJI Fly and it appears to work. Fingers crossed.

Can confirm this works and 120m is flagged but not restricted.

Had my first experience of the GEO Lock today. Fairly painless to get through even though the screens aren’t 100% obvious to navigate.

Anyone any ideas :man_shrugging:

Just went online with DJI & asked them to be more specific if possible this is what they said,

DJI - For UK it means that the FLY app has an added support for the new local regulations that the UK will be implementing.

Me - Ok what is that their implementing

DJI - For the local regulation and policies, you have to check with you local authorities to check any rules and regulations they will be implementing !

This is what they said.
Still vague

Having worked in local authorities enforcement for 30 years most LAs have not got a clue regarding drones. Now retired thankfully.:smirk:

is it not the ability to update things like drone scene or drone assist in a standardized format so that the controller actually has the localised nfz and any notams so as to prevent flights at air shows etc

it will mean that all things like prisons and all airports will be in the database
