New version 1.13.0
2 posts were merged into an existing topic: DJI Air 2S firmware updates
The Mini 2SE is being ditched and replaced with a 4K camera model.
Which is kinda good in a way as their whole 250g range will now offer 4k video.
But these naming conventions man…
Because that little switch icon really stops all your data going to China
if you buy the device… then you accept that the data goes wherever…
don’t be surprised if has a microphone and listens to you too…
Does the Fly app ask for permission to the Photos on iOS?
If it does, and you give the app access to your entire photo album…
Anyway, back on the subject of app updates
Is this a new stance from DJI

Having seen the results of their reverse engineered apps laid bare over the last seven years, we know DJI of old…
Is this new web page an attempt to convince Congress that they’re legit really, and that they’re not spying on anyone or anything? Honest, guv…
This new web page looks legit, it’s got flashy graphics and the word TRUST written all over it, so it must be true.
Maybe they’re not harvesting your location history, your contacts list or your entire photo album from your Android phone after all
If they were that trust worthy they’d reinstate the iOS SDK and on Android they’d remove the code that silently updates the app in the background, they’d let Google perform a code review on the Fly app, they’d get it digitally signed and they’d make it available in the Play Store for download.
A lot to be said for a 6+ year old version of the Go4 app with the original MP and a drone-phone that doesn’t know the internet exists.
Would be great to see the big meet on the next data leak
It’s such a shame that their software and shady business practices let them down as the hardware they build is absolutely world class
