Version 1.13.8
What’s Fixed
- Fixed certain issues and optimized overall app quality.
There is a new app update for android only I believe at the moment,
1.13.9 apparently some peoples waypoints were crashing on the previous fly app update above.
There is a new fly app update 1.13.10 I believe this is only for android at the moment & not available for iOS .
Yeah… Just checked mine DJI Fly app on my RC controller and update is to 1.13.10 (1055-dpad), not aware that anything obvious has changed. No update for my mini 4 pro
I was meant to put that in the post above, yes your correct apparently there is nothing that has changed noticeable, you know DJI probably just there known issues & bugs that we never get to hear about
Apparently some are having trouble with the fly app V 1.13 .10 on android DJI have done a temporary fix with a beta version here’s the link if anyone needs to try, I believe this may not be on all android devices but has been complaints.
Thanks, you saved my holiday! Arrived in N Wales yesterday having tested Fly 1.13.10 at home on wifi before leaving, all fine on my Air 2S with Pixel 7 Pro. Set off on a cycling trip along the Llangollen Canal today, and tried firing up, but just stalled on the DJI logo. Tried rebooting phone and clearing app. No joy. Back at my tent, and luckily on wifi, I initially tried reinstalling, clearing cache and data. No joy. Then found your beta link, and that worked. It also seemed to remember settings, so all set for Saturday. No idea what they did, as I’ve never had problems before. Very grateful thanks
No probs @BingBong Bruce glad it worked ok for you mate enjoy your holibobs
My Air 2S ran fine on the beta Fly mentioned above while I was on holiday. On return, I accepted the update to 1.14.1. Just tried firing it up outside away from wi-fi. The intro screen opens fine, but it crashes back to it repeatedly when trying to connect to the Air 2S. DJI’s QC seems to have fallen apart recently! I’ll try going back the the beta…
EDIT No good. When I try to install the beta over 1.14.1 using the Package Installer, the dialogue says “App not installed as a package appears to be invalid” Is it worth trying uninstalling 1.14.1 first do you think?
@BingBong Bruce I’d roll it back to where it worked best imo & see if the package then becomes maybe valid with the earlier app version just a guess as I’m not sure how that link actually worked but it’s worth a try .
@Kirky Thanks Richard, I tried de-installing 1.14.1, then installing the beta 1.13.10 again. Google Play Protect says “This app was built for and older version of Android and doesn’t include the latest privacy protections.” It allows to try installing, but then a new dialogue from DJI Fly saying “App not installed”. I updated my Pixel 7 Pro to the 5 Sep Android security update yesterday, which looks like it’s stopping the beta installing, when it was fine before. I’m stuffed for now. I may try Fly on my old Huawei P30, though neither appear to be on DJI’s supported list any more. The Pixel 7 Pro used to be. Bloody annoying!
DJI have always been terrible at proper testing of the Fly app.
I had this same issue but the beta version linked above that I found on the DJI support forum worked.
I thought the apk files for all the fly apps are downloadable for free ( or was ) just been on a link I used for my rc pro ( so I could roll back ) but now I can’t seem to find the links for free, I’ll keep looking.
Thanks @Ben.B the beta worked for me on my Pixel 7 Pro until I stupidly accepted the 1.14.1 update. De-installing that, it won’t install the beta 1.13.10 any more since I did the 5 Sep Android 14 security update. What phone and Android version do you have?
@Kirky Yes, if you can find the links to older versions, I could try going back before 1.13.10. I suspect the latest Android security update may block them though…
Plenty to be had at : https://www.apkmirror.com/?post_type=app_release&searchtype=apk&bundles[]=apkm_bundles&bundles[]=apk_files&s=dji+fly
Thanks. I’d rather get them from DJI servers if possible, but probably fine.
I’ve had Go4 from there without issues.
