DJI Go v DJI Fly

Having used the Mavic Mini and recently purchased Mavic Air 2 for a while now I have been doing some more digging in their capabilities. Both use the DJI fly App which in my opinion is a good app that is simple to use and some excellent features.

Recently though i have been looking into inputting waypoints and how it is done using the DJI Fly app for Hyperlaps. Basically i have to fly to the waypoints input the waypoint go to the next and so on. Basically using valuable battery time to achieve my aim.

I did some further digging and found some stuff on how the DJI Go app uses it and basically you can add the waypoints to a map, apply the required setting at each waypoint and then fly.

Can someone explain why DJI have removed this excellent feature in the Fly App?

Perhaps they see at as a feature for the Pro range, and purposely keep it off the lower priced models
