Crazy…
We’re all trying to confirm your phone and the app itself have internet access.
Turns out that you need to block net access to make it work
Top effort DJI
Either way, glad you’re up and running @Phil23 mate!

Bit limiting that you’ll only be able to fly inside though…
A great excuse to buy a massive house, though?
So this won’t help when I want to fly outside
It will still fly
Yes really blonde moment by me there.
Noticed that you were using your phones data. Did you try Wifi for the update?
Yes I tried in both 4g and WiFi
Glad you are back working again.
Always best to use a PC/Mac to do updates if possible IMO and via cable network connection if possible.
I have had some problems with updates in the past using Wifi on Smart Controller, CrystalSky, and a couple of Mavics including an Air. Not always but now use PC exclusively for updates.
I suspect 13.2.2 may be the issue as still quite buggy with some iPhone versions. The fact that it works with Air-plane mode seems to suggest that. I believe there is a further update in the offing (a week or so is mooted for that). There is a beta out as there are still some problems of various descriptions. 13.1 followed 13 very quickly and then 13.2 within days so that tells a story.
I have just copied and pasted the comment below taken from the Mavic Pilots forum which may be of some help.
I just purchased a Mavic Air 6 days ago. I spent 5 days trying to pair my iPhone 6, phone 7, and iPad mini4 to get the drone flying. The app would just close on me at different stages of looking and adjusting it. Sometime closed immediately after opening it. Chatted with DJI people and they asked me if I had enough memory…I have plenty…took my old iPhone 6 and emptied it of everything except djigo4 and still no go. They then told me to take a video of the steps that I took…I took 2 videos and sent them to them. Finally after my 3rd chat when I spoke with Chard, he told me that they were having a problem with apple and the dji software. They indicated to me that they would have it fixed by the middle of the month…I doubt it…They also told me to use a different device other than an apple. (this is why I don’t think they will have it fixed in the next 3-4 days)…I don’t think that I should buy an android because of their problem…I loved the videos of the unboxing and set up and flying…Looks like a GREAT drone; but it also looks like I won’t be flying mine soon. Tried to return it, but there are problems that I have incurred with that.
Don’t buy if you are using an apple product until you know they have had their “engineers” fix the problem.
Yeah it updated fine on my Mac so hopefully all good and will try fly it with my phone in airplane mode which hopefully won’t be a drama.
What annoys me about this is most people will do some research before buying something like a drone. And I didn’t see anything about issues with IOS
It wont be, but you wont get maps (unless you cache them before hand).
You also wont be able to live stream (if that’s your thing)
There is obviously a problem somewhere down the line, but I think its more do do with the network around where you have been trying rather than the drone and your devices.
Finally I very rarely update the DJIGO4 app, it works so why take the risk of breaking it (unless there is some super new feature I’d like to play with).
I never update the drone/rc firmware, its been rolled back to a modded .700 since the day after i bought it.
I probs won’t ever live feed. The one I use with work don’t have maps on it just tells me a location so I should find a way to combat that. But thank you
