I’m sure this chart will be extremely useful to our members. Feel free to link to it in other threads as I know this topic comes up fairly regularly across the forum due to the cross over between FPV and camera drones.
Yeah it’s madness! Just weird, as they name their quads OK… Mini, Mini 2, Mini 3, Oh… Mini 4k (which is a mini 2). Nope DJI are mad with naming
It’s accurate, as said before I saw it and was gonna share, but the version I saw said the Goggles 3 were compatible with the OG vista/Air unit, which I was 99% sure is wrong (not that they couldn’t I don’t think, but I’m pretty sure this time they wont!)
Annoying really, as I like the Goggles 3 head mount system, but integras the way to do IMO (pick them up pretty cheap).
Where the Neo fit in anyone know? That O4 based? (this the one bit I don’t know!) Also a few of the minis and mavics can be used with them too, but hey this an FPV chart!
That’s a bugger as I fancy trying fpv, I have the Neo and thought I’d get a pair of “cheap” goggles and if I liked it step up to one of the avatas. But it would have to be an older unit. Looks like it might be cheaper to buy a second hand avata & goggles integra.
As far as Cheap goggles go… the Goggles N3 (which work fine with the Neo and Avata 2) are amazing value and work great. I think they’re better than the Goggles 3 for me…
Mixed in with the Motion 3 (which can be picked up cheap 2nd hand) you have a good play around at FPV.
Of course the control method is not right, and here comes the punch. The FPV Controller 3 that you’d need with the Neo is expensive for what it is and is not a great controller for FPV. So if you want to move to that sort of controller you may be best going to traditional FPV…
Of course, the FPV Controller 3 also should keep it’s second hand value so you could use it as a temporary controller.
