Joking aside, I am still yet to find anyone in the UK who is planning on buying a Mavic 3 :man_shrugging:t2:

Does anyone know anyone (that knows anyone) that’s jumping on board?

I think the price and lack of C mark is the main issues for the UK market.

I don’t think anybody in their right mind would drop 4k on a drone that will soon be confined to open countryside.

Having watched a few reviews now. I still for the life of me can’t understand why they put 2 cameras on it, especially when the zoom function is either all or nothing optically with digital increments.
Will there be an enterprise version at a later date or are they just going to let the current M2 enterprise fill that gap.
If I had 100k sat burning a hole in my pocket the 3 would not be on my shopping list. Due to it not being a big enough leap over what can be achieved using my M2P and M2Z.

You can dial the wheel to zoom in smoothly up to 4x on the main camera, before it suddenly jumps to 7x on the lower spec Tele camera. Which is a mush smaller sensor, 4K max and lower res for stills. So yes, I too see the zoom lens as verging on a gimmick

@ianinlondon are you going all out and buying the Cine? Or just sticking with the Flymore?

I thought they were going to use the smaller second lens as a Optical Zoom lens like Samsung and Apple have done, to work alongside the main 4/3 lens, sadly DJI have copped out and made something weird in my opinion

No doubt to keep the cost so low

I can see an use for the zoom lens in the lost dog SAR flights I do but as a videography tool, the stutter in zooming from one lens to the other renders it less than perfect for sure. Guess they’ll fix it with firmware upgrades. Whilst on the subject of firmware upgrades - the latest version of Active Track and various other improvements won’t be available until Jan 2022. I’ve heard DJI promises before so I certainly won’t be buying until the product is finished and complete. Until then, my M2Zoom will do me just fine thanks.

Just the standard. I genuinely see no point in the Cine. :+1:

And just in case anyone didn’t know, DJI have confirmed no Smart Controller support “for now”. Hopefully a bit of calling out and shaming may spur them on…
