As do most drones in the right hands. ;o)
Yep I agree that 100% , Iāve said before a top of the range car does not make you a better driver !
Been thinking about the same.
I would use it (I assume) when I cannot fly close enough to the subject. Maybe on the edge of a FRZ
You might want to be higher to avoid disturbing the subject, whether they are human or not.
Mulling it over again late last night and I think Iāve settled on this:
My inclination is that having the extra camera wonāt hurt and might come in useful, so thatās what Iāll go for. With two caveats:
1 - Iāve emailed the CAA about the class marking on the Classic asking whether they recognise it and, if so, whether they also recognise the F/W update on the original models even though they have no marking on the body. If the answer to the first is āyesā and the second ānoā then Iāll definitely go for the Classic over the telephoto.
2 - Slight hesitation around divergence of the models in future. I wonder if theyāll be able to add f/w improvements to the Classic that they canāt add to the original models because of a restriction for the telephoto lens? Canāt think what it would be (maybe the need to keep some processing power for the telephoto that means they canāt add 5k or any other frame rates to night mode or some such)
Not a lot I can do about the second one - I presume it wonāt be an issue, but it would be just my luck.
The first, hopefully Iāll have an answer back before the end of the week.
Be good to hear how you get on Joe. Iāve kind of settled on the Classic as I donāt really see a need for the extra camera for me but havenāt totally decided.
In reality, I know nothing about this, but I have seen several YouTube-ers raving over the ācruise controlā feature of the new Classic.
Will that provide greater benefits than the telephoto lens?
As I understand, the entire Mavic 3 series has this feature now, not just the Classic.
By the time anyone decides - the Mavic 4 will be on its way
Thatās the other thing that usually happens to me⦠within a month of buying my new toy, a newer toy will be launched. Itās never ending.
With fewer features than the Mavic 2 no doubt.
The answer from the CAA hasnāt filled me with a whole lot of confidence, to be honest. Iām now wavering towards the classic (on account of it actually has a class mark stamped on it).
This would be sooo much easier if it was just £1k cheaper
Right - decision made. Classic ordered. I feel better now.
Iāve settled on the Classic too, but I see the Classic with no RC is a Pre-order.
Yeah, having to wait a few weeks for the RC-N1 bundle. Donāt need another RC (will just swap between the Classic and the Mini 3 on the one I already have) but figured the N1 might come in handy for Litchi and stuff that canāt go on the RC.
Thatās a good point
Just received a comparison email from DJI ⦠Mavic 3 Classic vs Air 2S.
Mavic 3 Classic has recently launched, which means youāve got more camera drone choices than ever. So how does it stack up to DJI Air 2S? Check out our simplified comparison find out.
Now that the Fly More kit has arrived, Iāve got to say that I donāt think DJI have been getting enough credit for the bag. Iāve not seen it mentioned in a single review, but it is really nice.
Wonāt be to everybodyās taste, but a lot of thought has gone in to the practicalities of using it and itās sturdy and seems to be well made. Itās a from me.
@clinkadink I got the same email and when seen it I thought you twats dji comparing my love the air 2s with your new fancy thing when Iām trying to justify in my head not to spend more money, only good thing I can see if I spend is the wifey not speak to me for a long long time or fuffing spend like mad in retaliation
@JoeC I seen the bag on YT video and agree itās a decent bag and donāt see much said about it.
Ruled out the Classic
So it is the Mavic 3 or the Mavic 3 Cine
Just donāt need another basic RC-N1 controllerā¦
Just out of interest, why?
