Yup, I think that’s exactly what I’m seeing here too.
My mini 2 batteries have never self discharged and I keep them stored in the hub, it’s been bugging me for some time now so did some digging today and came across this.
The batteries will not discharge if left connected in the hub.
Well done , thanks for that , very useful
Think this has been covered before. Mini/2 batteries are not LiPo so do not need to be discharged as so.
My batteries lose 1 led out of the 4 whilst stored in the hub over a short period.
DJI Mini 2 batteries are Lipo. The original Mini batteries aren’t.
Time to start storing two-ie’s batteries in a travel pouch.
Definitely Lipo’s in the Mini 2, and like I said! mine have never self discharged
I am going to test the theory and not store them in the hub or Drone and will report back
It’s worth posting the results in a new thread if it turns out they discharge out of the drone/charger. Fairly important information for Mini 2 owners.
More important is not to store batteries in any drone.
Drone I never have unless going out to fly 1 battery, charging case I have
Does anyone know if charging other devices (like phone/controller) from the Mini 2 charging hub depletes the batteries fully or does it drop them down to a sensible %?
Thanks for that. Must’ve read about the Mini batteries.
I’m new to this and fortunately found the thread quickly.
It was disappointing to learn that the batteries can’t be left in the Hub and recognise they need to auto discharge because it jusrt makes such sense to leave them tidied away in the hub.
However!!!
Appeased somewhat now though because you can turn them around and they will rest reasonably nicely in the hub still and the Fly more bag can still be closed.
You can actually push them right down into the hub the wrong way round, they fit tightly but not so tight that it feels like anything could get damged in the process.
This might be a good answer to storing the mini 2 batteries in the hub
Anyone willing to print me one to try
Looks like Andrew @ash2020 is about to extend his product line up
I can confirm that for the first time my Mini 2 batteries have self-discharged, its been one week and its now at 78%
I have always stored them in the hub and they have never auto-discharged
Even @ianinlondon listens to the Experts!! @PingSpike and Me lol
I’ve just gone upstairs and taken the batteries out of the hub
I wonder how much damage has been done to everyones batteries over the last five months?
Have you checked the charge %
