Had my Mini 2 for 2 years now and love it. Recently however, the gimbal has been ‘glitching’. Got a massage saying motor overload so landed and rested. Restarted and message to recalibrate gimbal. Got to 80% than ‘failed’ message. Switched off and tried again - recalibrated successfully. However, when I fly now, if I move the dron in flight to left/right even in vine mode, camera tilts while moving so gimbal not right. Camera gets stuck at time.
So have to land and ‘free’ camera. Anyone got any thoughts. I’ve not crashed it or flown into and objects/hit the gimbal/camera. Have booked a DJI repair online. Anyone used this and any issues re sending off my ‘baby’ via post???
Check if when you calibrate that there is no interference like metal objects or devices on yourself.
Just check that gimble is not rubbing on anything like ribbon.
Remove filter if fitted
Use DJI assistant and see if you can load a earlier firmware version if not reinstall latest firmware again.
Maybe it dji fly app or remote so update both and if you got a spare remote test it on that one.
You can try this, it’s easy to run.
Finally if all fails get it repaired.
Thanks ziceman
It’s a good call to book a DJI repair online, they’re the experts after all. As for sending your ‘baby’ off via post, I haven’t personally used their repair service, but I’ve heard good things. Just make sure to package it up nice and tight so it doesn’t get jostled around too much in transit.
Do TOAL from the ground, using a mat, or by hand? I had a similar problem last year after taking off and landing on a dusty road. I used a can of compressed air to give it a clean when I got home and the problem never came back. Although admittedly the gimeble got broken a few weeks later in an unrelated incident.
Thank you for the reply and advice…
Maybe. Good point… thanks.
