DJI Mini 3 48MP photos are pants

Today I took some photos with my DJI Mini 3 in both 12MP and 48MP. The former were clear the latter were very blurry. Is there something I’m doing wrong?

Nobody will have any idea without seeing an example of what’s wrong with them.

Please share both types

Lucky it didn’t crash (literally) many have been doing shooting 48MP

48MP and blurry.

12MP and clear plus it uploaded a LOT quicker.

To be fair on here they are similar but on my screen they are seriously different.

To me it just looks like the 48mp one didn’t focus properly for some reason. Was it just this one photo or did you have a lot with the same issue?

I’d agree with Martin @martywolfman on this one, the 48 MP seems out of focus.

I took 6 photo in 48MP and they were all blurry and have noticed it before when taking photos. I took 5 photos in 12MP and they were all superior.
Unsurprisingly, I guess, the 48MPs used over 20MB but the 12MPs were around 4MB.

Agreed as well.

@ianinlondon has a video on Focus Peaking, which which is a setting that can help see what’s on focus before taking your next photos:

Further, there is a thread on a worrying behaviour that the Mini 3 Pro exhibits when taking 48MP photos:

Interesting comments about this.
My two penn’orth -
I have tried out taking the same view in RAW+JPEG, in 12MP and in 48mp. I get the feeling that the drone often makes a better job of the JPEG in 12MP, and indeed somehow the JPEG from the 48MP can appear blurry. But if I then process the RAW 48MP image and produce the JPEG myself, it comes out just fine.
