DJI Mini 3 Pro Blurred camera

Hi there!

DJI mini 3 Pro was straight out of the box this afternoon and the camera footage on the controller screen is blurred, it’s set to AF so I’m wondering if it’s faulty.

Yes it’s straight out the box

I’ve taken a few pics all the same, I’m online to DJI now , they said the old re boot craft and controller :joy:

Try switching from AF to Infinity.

Spoke to DJI it’s going back for a replacement!!!

Where did you purchase it from?

Amazon , couldn’t be arsed with the hassle so just gonna send it to DJI. Amazon only offered a refund!!!

done a firmware update?

Yes mate all up to date

I had the same issue

Interesting and thanks for your reply , here’s a pic I took from my garden this afternoon

Sorry mate, I would say that is definitely faulty. If it were me, I’d be returning it immediately.

UPS collecting it Monday , I’m not sending it to DJI , amazon have organised collection, DJI have though refunded my 12 month care package

You’ve tried tapping on the screen so it focuses on something further away?

I did a Google search of this and it seems it was a fairly regular issue when they were released, maybe you have got one of the old stock ones. they seemed to focus on only a few feet or meters as their maximum range.

the common response was return and get another.

Hi folks, I also had this issue recently but after a bit of fiddling with the AF/MF it started to work.
I was unimpressed by the poor range in built up areas compared to the Mini 2, which was excellent…

Do you have the new controller (screen) ? It’s been mentioned a lot that the range is poor

No, I have the non screen version.

I see the antennas are very small and built into the top of the black phone holder pillers (which the screen version doesn’t have). You have to “aim” the top of the controller at the drone, not the front…

For fun I got another controller and replaced these with high gain dual band types and it seemed to make little difference in the town.

Today I tested the original controller at the coast and it was just fine!

See pics.
