what are you getting?
I will give it a test again if weather picks up with 2 controllers and update:
I can get distance if I fly high, but I can be about 100 mtrs away and if goes behind a building or tree signal loss which all my other drones never do this unless it was a very long way from me in which raise the height with mini 3 I max out height to get distance then it’s fighting high winds then. I was so used to mini 2 scooting around and always good signal.
Alex I did a test and surprisingly not bad considering I’m situated low with hills all round me, even gave a test being building and trees and it kepted signal upto a point.
I did a few tests I flew 2 flights with DJI RC-RM330 and DJI RC-N1.
DJI RC-RM330: First 600 MTRS was low level flying above the trees it was only when came to the end of my woods it started to lose signal then I maxed the height and went a further 1100 MTRS before I RTH.
The DJI RC-N1 just over 100 MTRS more in both scenarios.
I have the RC N-1 so that is good to know. The next thing to throw over to the DJI technicians is the autofocus issue. I think the signal issues might now be fixed then what do you think?
Funny enough just when you mentioned focus, I let my son have a fly for first time and said take pics whenever you like but he continuously say it’s not taking pics so leaned over and it does seemed to take few goes focusing and then snap.
I actually think they’ve quietly fixed signal not perfect but I am testing with bad terrain so forgivble and apologies for my rant in the past lol.
So wait it focuses for some and then not others?
@ziceman FYI
You can try these steps to see if your problem can be resolved:
- Check whether the lens is dirty. We recommend wiping the lens with a wet tissue.
- Please keep the shooting target within the focus point. We recommend you fly your aircraft to a place where the shooting target is within the focus range (For example, 1m - ∞ for the Mavic Air 2), shoot, and then view again.
- Please connect the aircraft to the app and check whether there is a firmware update prompt (when the mobile device is connected to the internet). Follow the instructions and update the firmware to the latest version. If there is no prompt, please perform further troubleshooting:
- Reset the camera parameters in the app.
I found a couple of new ‘features’ in the latest firmware…
-
Seemed to reset the camera parameters for Intelligent Flight (it defaulted to 1080p) when I have definitely previously recorded them in 4K.
I guess the lesson is to check them every time

SRT files are a lot less verbose
Seems to have only the most useful output and more concise labels now.

What’s updated?
- Increased the camera tilt angle range when shooting in Panorama for better imaging of the sky.
- Increased the stability of videos when using Hyperlapse.
Notes:
- The firmware of the DJI RC Pro remote controller needs to be updated to v03.01.0900 or later.
- If update fails, restart aircraft, remote controller, and DJI Fly or DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones Series),and retry.
I think I have fixed the autofocus issue, I did it by resetting the camera settings
Was flying in Holyhead this morning near the maritime museum and decided to do a sphere 360, switched to photo mode, selected sphere and pressed go and nothing, it just didn’t do a thing, tried another couple of times and still no dice, anyone else had this issue?
Any messages saying to reduce altitude or anything like that?
No, a warning came up before i took off saying max height was 492ft, no warning below that, i was only at 200ft
iOS Andorid ?
RC that came with my mini 3 pro so Android
You tried turning it on and off again ?
Surely it would be better turning off then on again?
Android is all nonsense to me
sometimes the IMU aand calibration and conecting tthe controller to a hot spot works to fix the height altitutde stuyff
Working now, weird, cheers everyone
