I’ve only had RTH kick in twice on my mini 3 pro, and both times it has landed within a few inches of where it took off.
Which is fine as your controller was still connected and you could always take care of control
But in this circumstance the controller had disconnected and wouldn’t reconnect, the app failed as well so no telemetry or video link
As stated the accuracy of RTH is not good and mine was off by a couple of meters putting it in the tree behind me so all I could do is watch it crash land
I use the RC-N1 and when taking a 48mp shot my phone screen will go black for about 3 seconds.

I’m steering away, I don’t process photos to enhance them other than pressing the “fix” button on iOS, that’s the extent of my processing skills so the normal photos will do for me.
It’s about to land in the Holland so we will see what DJI say about it

This process takes longer than the Care Refresh route which I could have chosen, but the case is not investigated and they just send a replacement which goes against one of your claims

I think I’ve only used 48mp twice and both times I got a huge sized file which imo wasn’t worth the bother. I kind of likened it to using digital zoom instead of optical. Maybe because of this I’ve not had a disconnect … yet! I have practiced RTH situations and disconnects, including switching off the RC and it behaved itself. I know its accuracy is limited on return locations, which is why I tend to make sure I’m clear of obstructions within a 3m radius of my HP.
I was using 48mp a lot in Liverpool on Tuesday and had no issues. I was using the RC remote.
I have in the past with no issues but it’s must be a problem if DJI are repairing it for free
Im not sure they are repairing.
It seems to be one of those rare software errors that crops up.
Replacing the drone may not actually do anything other than hope the rare problem doesnt surface on that new model.
DJI has form for this with the fogging and on other drones.
