so the question is do I keep it or sell it and get a RC-N1

These are the lovely people in Holland that DJI subbed my repair to and then decided to send me a new RC controller, New Drone and Battery even though I sent them the RC-N1

Mine did exactly the same yesterday. Never happened before but was trying the 48mp. Flying fine. Bringing it back, 10m up and 3m away disconnected and landed. No time to restart the controller. Luckily landed on grass so no damage. Nothing amiss on Airdata. Min 17 sats. 32% battery, all sensors 100%. But playing back in the Fly app shows poor gps and goes into ATTI which isnt a problem but then it disconnects and lands.
Never heard about the 48mp thing before so will avoid it. Didn’t like the pictures anyway. Better to stick to RAW.
