So just spoke with DJI earlier and they said that there will be another update at the end of this month that will fix the freezing issues and I think they will look at the range again.

Having just flown in 3 locations in Birmingham City Centre, unlike last time the signal was strong throughout. Unfortunately through it’s not a true like for like comparison as it is a different drone due to having crashed and broke the original purchase. 
Much improved signal wise either way so far with the replacement on the latest firmware.
How far were you getting?
I was in a City Centre so I was maintaining VLOS at all times, so 200 metres tops helped by being a rather dull cloudy evening. But it was full strength signal all the time, where as last time I was getting low signal warnings.
The plus battery sounds geared to your situation then. I’ll run 4 standard batteries, keeps me happy, doesn’t make any real sense to me to by any plus batteries. If I know what I’m filming, know the area I’m ok with the slightly shorter flight time. I’ve always got the Air 2s handy, with another 4
What distances were you getting low signal at before then?
In a City Centre - 200 Meters!
After waiting delivery since the 27th of may with Jessops, I decided to cancel the order and order again from Amazon.
Ordered yesterday, delivered today. Battery charging already.

Do you think that is acceptable when you have spent so much on a piece of equipment that does not work as it should?
No not all I was mimicking DJIs response it’s not great in fact not great doesn’t cut it
Crashed my drone doing shots of work with a digger in the garden, I flew up after filming in cine mode flipped it into sports mode back to me and flew in to fast and braking mistimed hit a branch straight down on its back on concrete ground spinning like mad.
All props wrecked 2 snapped 1 all the way to motor, not a mark on the drone at all gimble perfect and back up flying again 
WOW! That is encouraging that you can crash like that with so little damage. Congrats.

Nice I think DJI have finally got over their stock issues though I do think they could also be a marketing ploy
I suspect it just depends on how it crashes and how it lands, mine was 20 metres high, clipped a branch fell on grass = broken gimbal and back to DJI on Care Refresh.
