Mine arrived a few hours earlier, just on charge as we speak(type). Slightly odd as it was completely flat, usually I tend to get batteries partially charged.
Not sure if it’s a marketing ploy or in reality, these things are selling like hot cakes.

If I received a battery that was completely flat I would return it for a replacement.
I’m hoping it’s ok as it was sealed in both the DJI box and plastic sleeve.
Well, this type of battery would have been charged to a storage charge of about 40-60% at the factory. It should stay at that level for many months. The fact that it arrived that low suggests to me that the battery has been discharging while in store or being shipped from the factory. Of course, I have no idea of whether what I am saying is true for your particular battery but being that low when new would suggest that the battery has some kind of issue. Either way, sending back for a replacement would be the safest thing to do IMO.

Are you saying it was showing zero charge after being “woken up” from hibernation mode ??
Thanks for replying.
No, sorry out of the box and plugged into the drone, no lights when tested.
I then as stated charged it and gave it a full charge up to 4 green lights and once they all locked on for charge complete, had a small test flight and it appears to be fine.
I think it’s me expecting a small charge to be present, ie: when the mini 3 pro arrived, I think I had 2 or 3 lights of charge.
It appears it was in hibernation mode for transit - which is normal. You have to charge the battery to “wake” it up. When I did mine out of the box the battery was basically dead. A few seconds attached to a charger, then removed from charge and battery level check showed 2 flashing lights.
I believe what you have seen is the same and its normal
Was it not in transport mode, and once plugged in it comes to life, they are smart batteries, I remember the problems people had with the Mini batteries, you had to charge each on it’s own, and not all 3 in the triple charger?
They are smart aren’t they. I have never heard of batteries doing this but you learn something new every day.
I hope it is ok.
Yes they are, they are put into hibernation mode at the factory, I think it is a requirement of the airlines for shipping as airfreight after the Samsung Note 7 fiasco
Well, I have been using lithium batteries for many years now and never have I ever got a new one totally discharged. I hear what you are saying but if it were me I’d send it back. All 3 of my new batteries with my mini 3 pro came with 2 dots lit.
And to be honest thats what I was expecting and hence my possibly stupid question…hopefully it’s normal.
I think it was, I was still expecting green lights out of the box. However as you say if the thing is asleep…
I’m sure the hibernation thing is correct. 2 of my batteries showed no sign of life out of the box… Not a light. I was thinking this is not a good sign. However they charged up fine and have been performed perfectly.
As I said earlier - Its all in the DJI Mini 3 Pro User Manual which you can see here …

We are just back from a fairly long walk and I gave the battery a decent test…all is good.
Thank you
Just got a silicone cover for the RC and was worried that the lanyard brackets would no longer fit, they still fit and the balance is still good
