@group-mini-4-pro

Has anyone got the plus battery and willing to do a test?

No sorry, just 3 ordinary ones.

I have… what do you want testing?

Update to the latest firmware and fly app

Go outside with the plus battery installed, power up and wait for a full GPS sats count

Then take off or just start up the motors

Check to see if RID is active, this can be done easily by checking the flight checklist (top left of screen)

And with a phone check for a WiFi Network with RID and your drone serial number

So… no sign of RID. But I did crash it in the process and break an arm off…

Oh how did you do that  hopefully you have care refresh :crossed_fingers:

I do. I’d tested it with just the motors running and it was fine. I decided to lift off a bit, knowing I didn’t have a lot of space - and flew straight up into a holly bush. Motora cut out and it fell about 2.5m onto grass but broke the swivel mount for the arm.

It’s sort of good news that nobody’s bought my M3P as I will have that in the meantime. And Care Refresh is great, but it’s such a ballache to sort it all out. Out this afternoon and tomorrow, so that’s a fun job for Christmas Eve.

Well, that was a lot easier than last time. New M4P has shipped and should be here by the 27th.

So updated the Min 4Pro, goggles 2, Motion 2, got video, everything is working but I’m getting this alarm ā€˜Using Unbound Device’.

I did have a failure when I first updated the goggles, they timed out at 85% but on checking in the goggles the Min 4 was there, everything bound and worked.

I refreshed everything but still getting the same alarm, has anyone come across this? it’s been too windy to test fly it.

Do you have care refresh?

Yes on the Min as it came with 2 years…

So the care refresh is linked to the controller

If you change the controller it will warn you that the new controller ie the motion is not bound to the care refresh and if you have a flyaway it will not be covered

If you bind it then the other controller when used will give the same error

I did activate the care refresh, but I didn’t take one for the Avata.

Just a thought, it could the batteries…

I see, well I bought the motion last year and didn’t take care refresh.

I thought we were talking about the Mini 4 pro :man_shrugging:

Care refresh is only for the drone

Yes but I have the motion 2 off the Avata which now works with the Mini 4 Pro, so it’s only alarming when bound to the Motion 2 and goggles 2 but not with the RC 2….

Because the Care refresh is bound to the RC 2 at present

This is so when you have a fly away you can only claim with a bound controller so you are not scamming DJI

So when you connect the Motion 2 it will warn you this is not bound to the care refresh so if it flys away you are goosed

If you do bound it then the RC 2 will not longer be bound to the care refresh and will then give the same error

Basically you have to move the care refresh binding to each controller every time you change them

Actually thinking about it, it may be the goggles that carry the binding

Let me check BRB

@Njoro

Yes sorry its the goggles you have to bind to the drones care refresh

You will need to connect them to a device with the fly app on

Goto profile, device management, pick the drone and then value added service

You can change it here

I just changed mine from one to the other

Surely it’s time for a mini5 pro by now ?
